FAQs

Buying

Is every piece really one of a kind?

Yes. Every listing on StoneCycle is a single, photographed piece with verified dimensions. When it sells, it's gone.

Can I see the stone before I commit?

Most yards welcome viewings by appointment. Use the 'Request a viewing' button on any listing and the seller will respond within 24 hours.

How do I know the dimensions are accurate?

Every listing is measured by the seller and spot-checked by our team. If any dimension is out by more than 5 mm, you're covered by Buyer Protection.

Selling

Who can sell on StoneCycle?

VAT-registered UK fabricators, masons, yards and contractors. We verify every seller before approval — typically within 48 hours.

What does it cost?

Listing is free. We take a flat 15% commission on successful sales. No subscription, no hidden fees.

When do I get paid?

48 hours after the buyer collects or receives the piece. Payouts land in your bank account within one further working day.

Sustainability

What does SC CERTIFIED mean?

Pieces marked SC CERTIFIED carry full provenance: original quarry, year of extraction, previous use and a chain-of-custody trail. Each one diverts on average 42 kg CO₂e from landfill.

Do you publish your impact numbers?

Yes — every account has a live dashboard showing kg of stone diverted, CO₂e saved and water saved versus virgin extraction.

Logistics

Do you deliver to Europe?

Not yet. We currently deliver across the UK and Northern Ireland. EU and ROI routes are launching in 2026.

Can I arrange my own collection?

Absolutely. Yard collection is always free, and most pieces are ready within 24 hours of payment.
