The basics
StoneCycle is a curated marketplace for surplus and reclaimed stone. We accept offcuts, end-of-batch slabs, ex-display pieces and reclaimed architectural stone from UK yards, fabricators and contractors.
1. Create your seller account
Apply to become a verified seller. We verify your VAT number, yard address and a sample of previous work. Approval typically takes 48 hours.
2. Photograph the piece
- One straight-on shot of the full face, lit by daylight where possible
- One close-up showing the finish and edge profile
- One shot with a tape measure or scale reference
3. List in 30 seconds
Add material, dimensions, finish and asking price. Our system suggests pricing based on live comparable sales. You can list a single piece or a full batch.
4. Get matched
When a buyer's drawing matches your stock, you're notified instantly. Accept, decline or counter-offer in one tap.
5. Get paid
We collect payment up-front, hold it in escrow, and release funds 48 hours after collection or delivery. No chasing, no late invoices.
What we accept
- Marble, granite, quartzite, travertine, limestone, slate, onyx
- Pieces ≥ 0.1 m² with at least one straight edge
- Reclaimed architectural stone with documented provenance
Fees
Listing is free. We take a flat 15% commission on a successful sale, which covers payment processing, buyer protection, marketing and our matching engine.
